Zoom In

This tool allows you to zoom into the map: it will enlarge any area you wish to look at in more detail.

Pass the arrow cursor over the ‘Zoom In’ button, click once with the left-hand mouse button. Now when the cursor is moved over the map it will be in the shape of a cross.

You can zoom into the map in two ways:

1. Move the cursor to the area of the map you wish to enlarge. Click the left-hand mouse button once, this will enlarge the map by a fixed amount. (The place you clicked the cursor will now be at the centre of the enlarged map.) or
2. Click the left-hand mouse button and keep it held down, then drag the cursor to form a box around the area you wish to enlarge (example below). Releasing the left-hand mouse button will enlarge the map area you have selected with the box.
